Writing and Linguistics welcomes you back (virtually) when classes resume on Monday, March 30
The Department of Writing and Linguistics is here to support you on your academic journey. The transition to online learning and teaching is challenging for everyone; you might have questions and concerns. Please know that Georgia Southern University and the Department of Writing and Linguistics are committed to quality teaching. We are here to help you stay on track and complete your courses this semester.
I hope you have seen a message from your instructors in Folio or email by now. Many of them have asked students to send a message or post something in a discussion forum to check in. Each professor will handle the transition to online teaching a little differently, but all of our faculty share the same goal of serving you well. If there is anything your instructor can do to help you finish the class during this period without face-to-face classes, please say so. Contact them or me, and we’ll do what we can.
My faculty are eager to work with you again as classes resume on Monday. Despite the changes and challenges we’re facing, I hope this semester will reach a successful conclusion for you.
