Writing and Linguistics students honored at Honors Day
The Department of Writing and Linguistics saw several of its majors and minors recognized at Georgia Southern’s Honors Day ceremony on April 6, 2016. The featured student speaker was Writing and Linguistics major Aleyna Rentz (class of 2017). Honors Day is held each spring on the first Wednesday in April. The Honors Day Convocation highlights outstanding students from all disciplines and areas of college life. The Department of Writing and Linguistics is housed in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences is the largest of the eight colleges that make up Georgia Southern University, and it plays a central role in every student’s core of knowledge.
