Jamie Iredell campus visit & reading

The Department of Writing and Linguistics at Georgia Southern University, as part of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS), presents fiction and nonfiction writer Jamie Iredell on Friday, February 27, at 7 p.m. in COBA 1124. This event is free and open to the public.

Iredell is the author of multiple works of fiction, including The Book of Freaks and Prose. Poems. A Novel. His latest book, I Was a Fat Drunk Catholic School Insomniac (Future Tense Books, 2013), is a nonfiction collection of essays. He received his Ph.D. from Georgia State University and is currently a professor at SCAD Atlanta, where he resides with his wife and daughter.

The Department of Writing and Linguistics is housed in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Georgia Southern’s College of the Creative Mind. CLASS prepares its students to achieve academic excellence, develop their analytical skills, enhance their creativity, and embrace their responsibilities as citizens of their communities, nations, and world.
