The Gender Minority Closet is a student-run organization on the Georgia Southern University Campus.
This is a place for transgender, gender nonconforming, and non binary people to shop. It is a safe space run by the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program (WGSS).
The physical closet space is on the Statesboro campus in the WGSS office in the Carroll Building, Room 2288. During COVID this space is closed, but when it is open, the entrance can be found from the back and the space itself can be locked for trying on clothing. Click here to view items in the GM Closet. Please note: All items in the GM closet are FREE! Also, you will be asked to login to your MyGeorgiaSouthern account to view the items.
We are in the process of digitizing the closet. The pictures here are only a portion of the clothing and accessories which are available. We will soon have an online ordering form, so faculty, staff, and students can shop. Items can be delivered free of charge by campus mail. For the moment, if you don’t see what you need, email Dr. Lisa A. Costello, email@example.com. Everything is confidential.
This is a free resource, so please take advantage of it! We do not turn anyone away.
The closet has been curated by GS fashion merchandising and design students, so our styles are current. If you would like a private fashion consultation, please contact Dr. Costello.
Our number one priority is you! You are not alone, of you feel that you are, contact us! we can help you find other like you!
