Georgia Southern Lavender Graduation 2020 - decorated with a rainbow colored ribbon on both sides.
Lavender graduation is a ceremony to celebrate and recognize the accomplishments of LGBTQ+ students and allies as they graduate from Georgia Southern University. As we kick off the month of June and the celebration of Pride month, you are invited to celebrate with these students and honor all that they have achieved. The WGSS Program has sponsored a Lavender Graduation for the last three years thanks to a generous grant from Ted Tucker. Our vision for Georgia Southern Statesboro, where Ted grew up, and Savannah is to create an atmosphere that is more open to the LGBTQ+ community.
This year, obviously, was a little different, in that Lavender Graduation is virtual.
