M. Tyler Sasser
M. Tyler Sasser (MA 2008) was recently awarded the Children’s Literature Association Award for the best essay by a PhD student.
His article, “The Snowy Day in the Civil Rights Era: Peter’s Political Innocence and Unpublished Letters from Langston Hughes, Ellen Tarry, Grace Nail Johnson, and Charlemae Hill Rollins,” was published in the Fall 2014 issue of Children’s Literature Association Quarterly (39.3: 359-384).
Tyler is currently pursuing doctoral studies at The University of Southern Mississippi.
