Dr. Whelan

icon-grantsDr. Tim Whelan was awarded a $6000 Franklin Travel Grant from the American Philosophical Society for his work this summer transcribing approximately 100 letters of the diarist Henry Crabb Robinson (1775-1867). Whelan will be working at the National Library of Scotland, the Wordsworth Museum, the Bodleian Library, British Library, Lambeth Palace, the University of London, and the Fitzwilliam Museum and Trinity College Library, Cambridge. Whelan will also be speaking on 6 July at the Wordsworth Museum, Grasmere, on “‘My dear Friend’: Crabb Robinson’s Correspondence with Mary Wordsworth, 1837-58,” as well as leading a workshop in London on 12 July on the Crabb Robinson Diary Project.
