About Dr. Grundstad-Hall

Emily Grundstad-Hall, soprano holds both the master of music and doctorate of musical arts degrees in vocal performance from Louisiana State University and the bachelor of music education degree from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. She has sung many leading opera roles such as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, and Amy in Adamo’s, Little Women. Most recently, she performed in Savannah Music Festival’s production of Suor Angelica in association with The VOICExperience, founded by Sherrill Milnes and Maria Zouves. Grundstad-Hall can be heard regionally in recital and oratorio regularly. As a soloist, she has performed with the Savannah Philharmonic, Hilton Head Choral Society and the Oklahoma City Ballet, and was a regional finalist for the Metropolitan Opera’s national auditions. She can be found on various musical theater recordings with the company, StageStars Records of New York, NY, and with her cast, was nominated for “Best Ensemble Cast” by Innovative Theater Awards for her role as Yum-Yum in Theatre TenTen’s (NYC), production of The ‘Singapore’ Mikado. A versatile singer, she has worked with professional choirs such as Conspirare, the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, Spire Chamber Ensemble and most recently, The Choral Pick-Up. She enjoys teaching voice and voice related courses and is an adjudicator for various vocal competitions.
