Library Committee met February 25, 2002 for 30 minutes at 10:00 am.
Present: Flynn (chair), Costomiris, Warchol. Regrets: Rawson
The committee met to review faculty requests for new acquisitions. As all requests seemed reasonable, we agreed to forward them to Charles Skewis with instructions to order books until we run out of money.
After the meeting, Dr. Flynn hand delivered the requests to Dr. Skewis in the library.
The committee wishes to thank the faculty for helping us to spend this budget, and we hope you will continue to suggest acquisitions every year.

Library Committee met September 27, 2000 for 30 minutes at 9:30 am.
Present: Warchol, Weiss Absent: Daigre, Whelan (house emergency)
(1) Warchol presented a sample of the Henderson Library Subscription Review. When the Library finishes compiling the database (some time in late October), the Committee will ask the department to recommend deletions and additions to our current profile.
(2) Weiss and Warchol agreed the most effective way to involve the department in selecting book titles from outside the automatic approval plan is to distribute the received forms to individual faculty according to their areas of specialization. The steady flow of those will be placed in faculty mailboxes beginning mid-October and faculty will be asked to send us back the ones they wish our library to purchase. Warchol will send an e-mail regarding the matter soon.
(3) Information on current titles from the approval plan will be regularly available in the main office in a specially marked box. More about that in upcoming e-mail to the department.
