In addition to her research in sociolinguistics, Professor Pinilla-Herrera has conducted studies in Spanish pragmatics and discourse analysis in the Colombian and Puerto Rican contexts.
Professor Pinilla-Herrera’s projects include the creation of the Spanish Grammar Strategies Website in collaboration with Dr. Andrew D. Cohen. This online resource showcases audio and video clips, diagrams, mental maps, charts, visual schemes, and drawings that offer strategies for learning specific grammar forms. It also offers language learning tools directed at different learning style preferences that can be applied to various grammar forms.
