30 years but no longer counting: Dr Kurz Retires

With the end of the academic year 2022-2023, Dr Horst Kurz, Associate Professor Emeritus of German, retired from the Department of World Languages and Cultures.  Dr Kurz joined the Georgia Southern faculty in 1993, coming to GS from the College of Wooster in Ohio.  Over the years, he has taught a wide variety of German language and culture courses, and has given numerous presentations at conferences in the region and beyond, in particular on language teaching.  In addition, he has served the profession in many ways, for example as officer in several organizations.  He is the recipient of numerous awards.  Servus Horst!
