Seaman publishes visual essay
In the midst of our isolation comes a bit of bright news to pull us together: Dr. David Seaman, Professor Emeritus of French, remains active with avant-garde movements. His lengthy article, “SYNAPSE ESSAY THE SIXTH: Mallarmé/Mallarmi an essay (adapted for the eye) by David Seaman,” recently appeared in the blog Synapses International, an international visual poetry gathering co-edited by karl kempton and Philip Davenport. David’s article is a mixture of text and images and unusual typography, in keeping with the spirit of avant-garde visual poetry.
