OPI Workshop at Armstrong Campus
At the end of February, the seven Armstrong faculty along with an Armstrong teaching TA, the only untrained Statesboro faculty member, and a Statesboro teaching TA, all participated in a four-day ACTFL Oral Proficiency Tester Training workshop. This is an intensive workshop of 8 hours per day over the four days, during which the participants learn and practice the principles of proficiency-oriented teaching and learning. Now all faculty members in the department have been trained in ACTFL-defined language proficiency, and we are more aligned as a group to teach and asses our students and to evaluate and align our courses and programs.
