History Major Robert “Bobby” Carpenter receives Cornelia H. Williamson History Scholarship
Congratulations to History major Robert “Bobby” Carpenter, a Spring 2021 recipient of the Cornelia H. Williamson History Scholarship offered by the National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century. The National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century is an organization of women, eighteen years of age or over, who are lineal descendants of an ancestor who lived and served prior to 1701 in one of the Original Colonies in the geographical area of the present United States of America. The $500 scholarship, which is open to all undergraduate junior and senior history majors at accredited institutions in the United States, can be awarded for up to four consecutive semesters. This is the first time that two Georgia Southern students have been granted the scholarship at the same time. History major Sabrina Wade was awarded the Williamson Scholarship in Fall 2020.
