History Department news for October
Kathleen M. Comerford spent five weeks on a fellowship at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University in October and November, 2016. She was recently elected Vice President of the Sixteenth Century Society and Conference. Her monograph, Jesuit Foundations and Medici Power, 1532-1621, was published by Brill Academic Publishers in October, 2016.
Dr. James M. Woods appeared on a panel held on October 18 with members of the political science faculty to discuss third parties in U.S. presidential elections. He spoke on the origins and consequences, both intended and unintended, of third parties in U.S. history.
