Financial Aid & ScholarshipsThe University offers a comprehensive program of financial aid which includes grants, scholarships, assisstantships, and loans. There are numerous scholarships targeted at select groups of students (for example, there is one limited to students from Liberty County). Be sure to review them all–you might qualify! Zoltan Farkas Studies Abroad ScholarshipDr. Zoltan Farkas (1918-2002), a native of Hungary who emigrated to the United States, was the first head of the Department of Foreign Languages, established in 1955. His son, Dr. Stephen Farkas, established a scholarship to honor the “father” of foreign languages at Georgia Southern.

Eagles Abroad StipendsEagles Abroad Stipend (Deadline: March 1st) The Eagles Abroad Stipend is available to Georgia Southern University students in all majors. Special consideration will be given to those applicants studying abroad in regions or countries typically less served by study abroad programs and on programs sponsored by Georgia Southern University. Most Eagles Abroad Stipends are $500 each. |
