World Languages Collaborative Update

October 15

Good morning all. We are delighted that you are participating in the World Languages Collaborative (WLC) on Saturday, 10/17/2020 from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

We have nearly 200 registered participants this year! Because of the large numbers, we changed the opening and closing meetings from Zoom to MS Teams.

There are eight sessions that take place over four rounds with each presenter leading their sessions two times. We are encouraging presenters to record their sessions and upload them to the shared drive. You can share documents there as well.

I updated the slide deck with some additional information. It is available here (https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1-kn5oHllwAgGx5NRMnP9d4S5EDI1C1vv-1njYQmYUu4/edit?usp=sharing).

You can also find information on the webpage (https://sites.google.com/view/wlcollab2020/home). On the site, you will also find session links, a link to a downloadable certificate, and a link for feedback for the WL Collaborative (not individual sessions).

We are encouraging session presenters to record their sessions and then upload them to the shared drive.

If you have any questions, please email to mark.linsky@sccpss.com or text to 912-660-5573.

Thank you for devoting your Saturday to professional development!

Yours,
-The World Languages Collaborative Team

October 2, 2020

Hello Colleagues,
The 2020 World Languages Collaborative is knocking at the door. As always, the event is free, informative, and fun. This year, unfortunately, we will not mingle physically, but we will be able to see each other, thanks to the miracle (curse?) of technology. For more information and to register, follow this link:
https://sites.google.com/view/wlcollab2020/home; here is the (original announcement).
A huge thank you to Mark Linsky of SCCPSS, who is the motor behind this year’s event; also to Patrick Wallace, of GaDOE, to Olga Amarie, of Georgia Southern University, and to all the presenters and participants.
Hope to see you all on Saturday, October 17! Please forward this to the language-teaching colleagues at your institution.
Thanks and best, Eric
