Throughout the academic year, we host visiting scholars, published writers, or conversations with alumni. We’ve had Pulitzer Prize-winning writers Andrew Sean Greer and Jericho Brown, New York Times Best-Selling author Stacy Willingham, and many others.

Are you preparing for graduate school? Do you have questions about the process? Well, this event is just for you! Preparing for Graduate School is an informational Q&A with Dr. Lindsey Chappell, the Director of Graduate Studies in English. This event is typically held every September.

Our undergraduate student organization, Sigma Tau Delta, prepares questions to ask a panel of our current English students about what to expect as an English major or minor. The informal discussion is followed by a lively Q&A session.
