The B.S. in Communication Studies at Georgia Southern University is a dynamic and comprehensive program designed to cultivate the essential skills needed for success in today’s communication-driven world. About the Communication Studies Major

Communication Studies majors develop skills in oral communication, interpersonal communication, teamwork, and written communication. This major is grounded in Liberal Arts and provides practical and job-related experiential learning. 

Course highlights include general communication topics like public speaking, persuasion, argumentation, rhetorical criticism and nonverbal communication. You’ll also be able to select from a range of specialized topics such as:

Communication Studies Internship

Communication Studies Internship (COMS 4791) may be taken by Communication Arts majors who have completed COMM 1110 and at least 20 semester credits in upper division COMS classes and have a minimum 2.5 total institution GPA.
