The Artist: Caroline Montague studied art at East Carolina University, the Institute Allende in Mexico, and North Texas State University. Her works have been shown in exhibitions around the world including Sao Paulo, Brazil, and the Palazzo Venezia in Rome, Italy. She held a one-person show at 14 Sculptors Gallery in New York City. Such major corporations as IBM, Coldwell Banker Properties, and Digital Communications Inc., have commissioned Montague pieces, and others, including Kimberly Clark Corporation in Dallas, Texas; General Electric in Roanoke, Va.; and Katsuraya Jewelry in Tokyo, Japan, have added her work to their collections. She currently works with ceramics and lives in Clayton, Ga.

About the Artwork: This stainless steel fabrication is common to her large outdoor sculptures. They are layered with approximately twenty coats of enameled paint and then sanded to reveal the paint layers and the metal. The sculpture has a clear coated finish.
