‘2014 Graphic Design Portfolio Reveal’ On Display In Contemporary & University Gallery

The Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art (BFSDoArt) at Georgia Southern University is pleased to present the 2014 Graphic Design Portfolio Reveal. The exhibition will be on display in the Center for Art & Theatre from April 25th through April 30th, 2014 with a reception Friday, April 25th from 5 – 7pm; the event is free to the public and all are invited to attend.

The Graphic Design program at the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art is comprised of a dynamic and multi-faceted curriculum that is led by exceptional faculty. Every year, The Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art graduates many gifted and diverse designers that successfully transition into various careers within the design profession.

“Each year the graduating graphic designers present their final body of work as part of the senior exhibition. It’s a unique opportunity to showcase the BFA graphic design program. Friends and family are invited to celebrate student success and design professionals are invited for their industry feedback. Our students work hard in preparation for this event to show their very best work,” explains Santanu Majumdar and Derek Larson, Assistant Professors of Graphic Design at the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art.

The 2014 Graphic Design Portfolio Reveal includes the work of the following students: Jessie Adams, Brandon Bearden, Chelsea Brown, Christine Byrd, Ryan Caronongan, Tom Chambliss, Racheal Rose Dotson, Jose Ramon Gil, Bridget Hanney, Sandra Hendow, Cyndee Jones, Ahmad Kromah, A. Blake Lane, Joey Lanier, Johnesia Lucas, Paola Robelo, Tenny Shen, Haley Tam, Julia Tillery, Matt Veal, Aaron Ward, Connor Wathen, and Michael Whalen

Graphic Design professors include Derek Larson, Santanu Majumdar, Onyile B. Onyile, and Edward Rushton.

The Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art at Georgia Southern University is committed to offering quality undergraduate and graduate degree programs that prepare students to become professional artists, designers, art historians, and industry executives.

Offering a comprehensive curriculum encompassing the practical, theoretical and historical aspects of the visual arts, the BFSDoArt is recognized as an accredited member National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) and is pending accreditation from the Accrediting Council for Collegiate Graphic Communications (ACCGC).
