Theatre major selected for Cody Renard Richard Scholarship program

Georgia Southern University Theatre major Gabrielle Scott has been selected to be a part of the inaugural cohort for the Cody Renard Richard Scholarship Program.  This national scholarship provides funding and opportunities for BIPOC students training in theatrical management and artistic fields.  Scott has been selected for Technical Theatre.

In addition to a monetary scholarship, the program will provide sessions with founder Cody Renard Richard and other BIPOC leaders in the theatre industry who will provide both professional mentorship and social justice seminars.  The program also cultivates a space for the cohort to connect and celebrate their theatrical contributions as they grow as artists and leaders in the field.  Other recipients represented in the cohort include students from Columbia, New York University, and Carnegie Mellon.
