Music Department presents special Valentine’s concert
Join the Department of Music at Georgia Southern University for a special Valentine’s concert featuring the Georgia Southern Sinfonietta; Larisa Elisha, D.M.A., on violin; Maestro Adrian Gnam on oboe, and Michael Braz, D.M.A., on harpsichord at 7:30 p.m. in the University’s Carol A. Carter Recital Hall. The concert program includes Johann Sebastian Bach’s Concerto in C Minor for Violin and Oboe, Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 4, “Adagio” from Boccherini’s Cello Concerto in B-flat Major and Mendelssohn’s Sinfonia No. 4 in C Minor.
“We are so excited to present this special Valentine’s concert to the Statesboro community,” said Steven Elisha, D.M.A., director of the University’s strings program and the Georgia Southern Sinfonietta. “There is no better way to touch hearts than through music, and the talents of Larisa Elisha, Adrian Gnam, and Michael Braz will surely make this a memorable event.”
The Feb. 14 concert is part of an ongoing campaign to raise scholarship funding for the University’s strings program and is sponsored by ERA Landmark Realty. Though the performance is free to attend, those wishing to contribute to the fund may contact Elisha at stevenelisha@georgiasouthern.edu.
