National Organization for Women at GSU presents 13th annual performance
It’s time “to speak of them out loud, to speak of their hunger and pain and loneliness and humor, to make them visible so that they can not be ravaged in the dark without great consequence.” – Eve Ensler, the creator of the Vagina Monologues
The 13th annual Vagina Monologues performance is presented as part of V-day, an activist movement with the mission to end physical, sexual and emotional abuse of women and girls worldwide through community awareness and fundraising. All proceeds from the performance will benefit the Statesbor Regional Sexual Assault Center and the Women and Girls of Haiti.
Performances will take place Feb. 16-18 at 7 p.m. in the Carol A. Carter Recital Hall. Student tickets cost $5 in advance, $7 at the door. Community tickets are $7 in advance, $10 at the door. Recommended for audiences age 18 and older.
