Southern Pride Marching Band

College of Arts and Humanities

Audition information is now posted for the 2019 Southern Pride Marching Band!  Please select your instrument from the Auditions tab for information and links to sign up.  All auxiliary sections (drumline, color guard, and majorettes) will audition on May 18th on the campus of Georgia Southern University.

We have a great season planned for 2019 including a full-band trip to LSU, pep band trips to Appalachian State and (possibly) Troy, exhibition performances across the state, and (another) possible bowl game.  We hope to see you at auditions and ultimately at camp!

Members of the Southern Pride Marching Band do not pay any band fees and all travel is also covered by Georgia Southern University.  The only cost to members is the fee for registering for the class (yes, marching band is a class), and any housing costs during camp.

While wind players don’t have a formal audition like the auxiliary sections (Color Guard, Drumline, and Majorettes), it is expected that members will prepare music from our pregame and early halftime shows during the summer so that they are ready to hit the ground running when camp begins in August.  That music will become available in the coming months.  Wind players can sign up for the 2019 Southern Pride Marching band HERE.  More information will be emailed out to all registered members throughout the rest of Spring and into the Summer.
