Hines discusses 13-year project ‘My Brother’s War’
VII Photo Agency and the Aftermath Project Lecture Series presented: “Conversations with Grant Winners About Their Winning Work with Jessica Hines and Sara Terry,” that broadcast via Zoom on October 15, 2020. Hines presented her 13-year-long project, “My Brother’s War,” the story of her older brother who developed Post Traumatic Stress Disorder while at war in Viet Nam. While he dodged bullets at war, ten years after returning home he died by his own hand. The story is about Hines’ search for understanding and shares a story that sheds light on life in the aftermath of war.
