Annual Student Juried Exhibition features Georgia Southern Armstrong Campus student artists
The work of 28 art students on Georgia Southern University’s Armstrong Campus has been hand selected by Assistant Curator at the Telfair Museums Erin Dunn for the 2019 Student Juried Exhibition.
“It’s a privilege to have such a high-quality juror from such a distinguished museum,” Gallery Director Raymond Gaddy said. “Ms. Dunn has put together an excellent exhibition with a range of work from across disciplines.”
Gaddy also said each year the juried exhibition is unique because of the different juror and student entries.
“Each year brings new work from an ever-changing body of students,” he said. “Each juror has their own personal preferences, opinions and biases. The annual Student Juried Exhibition is always one of the most exciting for students and professors; no one knows what will happen. Some years everyone agrees on the choices and some years there are questions.”
The exhibition will run from Jan. 28 through Feb. 8 at the Fine Arts Gallery and will feature awards in various media categories. An artist reception and awards presentation will be Feb. 6 from noon to 1:30 p.m.
