Conn shows work in group, solo exhibitions; presents paper at SECAC

Bridget Conn’s work will be featured in the “Size Matters” exhibition as part of the Medium Festival of Photography in San Diego, California. Juried by Brian Clamp of ClampArt in New York City, the exhibit opens at Sparks Gallery on October 20th, on view through November 11.

Conn’s solo exhibition “Language Acquisition” will be on view at the Frances Sewell Plunkett Gallery of Mercer University in Macon from October 29 through November 30. Conn will deliver a demo for students and a gallery talk open to the public on Friday, November 16.

Conn will present a paper at the upcoming SECAC conference in Birmingham, Alabama, on Thursday, October 18. Entitled “Kodachrome Rumors: Why Outdated Technologies Thrive in the Art World,” she will present in the “Being Analog in a Digital World” panel to discuss the relevance and evolution of darkroom photography in a post-digital revolution world.
