Hines discusses ‘My Brother’s War’ at The Open Society Foundation

Professor Jessica Hines was an invited speaker at The Open Society Foundations in New York City to discuss her work, My Brother’s War, included in the recent book release, War is Only Half the Story: Ten Years of the Aftermath Project. The panelists included Nina Berman, Sara Terry, Christopher Cappozziello, Andrew Lichtenstein and Amy Yenkin. The mission of the Open Society Foundations is to build vibrant and tolerant societies whose governments are accountable and open to the participation of all people, respect for human rights, minorities, and a diversity of opinions; democratically elected governments; and a civil society that helps keep government power in check. The panelists discussed the issues surrounding their work that was supported by The Aftermath Project, a grantee of the Open Society Documentary Photography Project. The audio of the discussion is now available: https://www.opensocietyfoundations.org/events/book-launch-war-only-half-story-ten-years-aftermath-project
