2 BFSDoArt Student Exhibitions open in Downtown Statesboro
Two student exhibitions are opening in downtown Statesboro next week during First Friday festivities. (First Friday was postponed until October 14 due to inclement weather.)
Take it Personally is on display in the Legends Gallery at the Averitt Center for the Arts, and was curated by Master of Fine Arts student, Jessamy McManus. For this exhibition, BFSDoArt students Chloe Coulibaly, Jennie Klabnik, Jessie Voiles, Kimberly Page, Katie Blankenship, Ray Pettit, Emily Hudson, and Virginia Skinner use autobiographical art as means to self exploration.
The second show, Polyhedra, highlights the multifaceted interests and techniques of several MFA students studying studio arts with the BFSDoArt. Students involved in the show are: McManus, Courtney Ryan, Usman Oladeinde, Cyndy Epps, Glenda Miliatano, Zak Kelley, and Kyle Hooten. Work will be on display at the Roxie Remley Center for Fine Arts Gallery from Oct. 7 – Nov. 5.
A reception for both exhibitions will be Friday, Oct. 14 from 5-7 p.m. at the Averitt Center.
