Don Armel Completes Documentation of 180 years of Printers in the USA
Graphic Communications Management Professor Don Armel has completed documenting the first 180 years of printers in the USA beginning with Matthew Daye, Cambridge, MA, 1638 through to 1820. Information regarding the Armel’s research can be found online in Henderson Library’s Digital Commons. To accompany the list, he has imaged and cataloged all of the University holding in the library that pertain to this era.
While most of this information already exists, it is in multiple publications across many libraries. The goal of Arme’s research is to compile one complete master list with references to the other published sources.
