Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony spring concert date, time, and location

Georgia Southern University’s Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony will host a spring concert on the Armstrong Campus in the Fine Arts Auditorium on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. Admission to the concert is $6. Georgia Southern students, faculty and staff are admitted free with their Eagle ID.

The Georgia Southern Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony are concert bands with membership limited to 50-55 of the most accomplished woodwind, brass and percussion performers on the Statesboro Campus. The musicians perform repertoire of the highest caliber, representing all musical style periods from the Renaissance through modern day, and featuring works created by composers for the historical and modern wind band.

“We’re looking forward to getting to know the concert-going, wind band loving, public of Savannah and the surrounding area,” said Director of Bands Robert Dunham, DMA. “I am truly privileged to work with these fine, talented and dedicated musicians every week, and to be able to share with them regularly in music making of the highest caliber. They inspire and challenge me. And I learn every bit as much from them as I hope they learn from me.”

Tickets can be purchased by calling 912-344-2801 or by visiting georgiasouthern.edu/armstrongtickets. The Armstrong Campus Fine Arts Box Office is located in Fine Arts Hall and is open weekdays from noon to 3 p.m.
