Hapsatou Wane

Biography

Hapsatou Wane is an Assistant Professor in English. Dr. Wane teaches world literature, literature of migration, and postcolonial literature. Her current research is on African literature of migration.

    • This online graduate course explores concepts of identity at the intersections of race, gender, class, and citizenship. Texts include Chimamanda Adichie’s Americanah (2013), Yaa Gyasi’s Homegoing (2016), Taiye Selasi’s Ghana Must Go (2013), and Imbolo Mbue’s Behold the Dreamers (2016) in addition to seminal critical texts to investigate the transnational turn of African literature.
